Paramount Home Entertainment have just announced the region two release of Thief of Hearts. Here is a little information from the press release:

Directed by DOUGLAS DAY STEWART (An Officer and a Gentleman), THIEF OF HEARTS sees STEVEN BAUER (Traffic), as petty criminal Scott Muller, use his cunning and seductive ways to trick bored wife Mickey Davis, played by BARBARA WILLIAMS (Perfect Pie) into a loving affair.  The affair sees Mickeys husband, JOHN GETZ (Born on the 4th of July) pushed aside in the pairs pursuit to be together, whilst Scotts partner in crime, Buddy Calamara, played by DAVID CARUSO, refuses to accept that his budding career with Scott is over because of a woman.

Mickey Davis feels trapped in her marriage, when handsome businessman Scott Muller arrives on the scene, it doesnt take much to woo her and gain her affections.  Scott always seems to be one step ahead, knowing how and what she is thinking and Mickey soon becomes convinced she has met her perfect man.  Little does Mickey know that the businessman act is actually a cover-up for a much more sinister reality.

Further information about the release is not available at the moment, but the DVD will be in shops from 26th August and will retail for 19.99. We will keep you updated with any additional information as we get it.

The Universal Stories Of Dance Series is a retrospective history of clubbing and dance music around the globe and begins with an initial instalment covering the development of the UK club scene. Club Classics is now available to own on DVD from Direct Video Distribution for the bargain price of 19.99. This DVD and CD set mixed by Mike Cosford and Jon Dasilva respectively is the perfect offering for the discerning dance music fan.

The UK scene from the mid 80s and, in particular, the Acid House explosion of 1987-89, is regarded by many as the catalyst for the worldwide club scene we have today. Once an underground cultural phenomenon, the new sound that was once seen as rebellious and anti-establishment, has since grown into todays mainstream dance music.

Intended as a general retrospective of that time, the DVD has been mixed by one of the biggest names in the house DJ circuit, Mike Cosford, and spans the whole post 1988 period with credible rave tunes including 2 Bad Mices Bomb Scare blended with semi chill classics like Sabres Of Paradises Smokebelch and Transglobal Undergrounds Papua New Guinea.

Accompanying the music is a specially commissioned film series by Nick Delves, the man behind the renowned visuals at the London club nights Bedrock at Heaven and DTPM at Fabric. Concentrating on different aspects of major club developments and concerns at the time, the provocative and symbolic visuals have been created to capture the era in a way that is both literal and emotional, compelling and sometimes darkly humourous.

The DVD is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and DVD extras include a comprehensive history of the era which can be laid over the images and Cosford mix in optional subtitled form.

The bonus audio only CD has been compiled by DJ Jon Dasilva who was renowned for the Acid eras most legendary nights at the Hacienda. A real retro experience, Jons selection is rooted in Acid House and Techno between 1986 and 1990.

The disc will be presented in 16:9 anamoprhic widescreen and will come with English subtitles. Extras will be held back for the retail release of the film. Here's what the film is about:

At their first meeting, Prot (Kevin Spacey) politely tells Powell that the light on Earth is too bright for him - much brighter than back home on the distant planet K-PAX. Powell has treated many delusionals during his career, and believes that it should not be too difficult to get Prot to tell him what is really going on...'

You can expect to see K-PAX in your local rental shop from the 16th September this year. We don't have any details on the retail release of this film yet....the film does sound interesting though, can't be too bad with Spacey in.....can it? :/
